All the latest news, updates and highlights from the third sector in Aberdeen

In this month’s edition, we present our latest ACVO film with Friends of Westfield Park – highlighting their new eco-friendly container courtesy of the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund. The volunteer-led group also share details of their Green Flag Award which recognises all their amazing efforts in preserving the local community green space. Have a read on pages 24-27!

This month we are also excited to announce the results of the Just Transition PB Fund’s public vote! 18 Aberdeen-based organisations have successfully received funding to enhance or develop their green, eco-friendly projects – all thanks to your votes! In this edition we also share the latest developments from Denis Law Legacy Trust who have commenced work on their third Cruyff Court in Aberdeen. This outdoor community sports facility will be a welcomed addition to the sport charity, and is due to open in Spring 2024 to children and young people across the city.

We also bring you the latest Team ACVO updates – details from our recent member’s event which had a focus on funding, Gette Cobban shares her latest news around her work with The Promise and an announcement that the Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund has now closed for applications as of 27th October.
