Project description:

With this grant, we would be able to deliver a variety of activities to promote mental health and well-being: 1) Run subsidised mental wellness training sessions (10 week program - AMIC Mental Health Toolbox) using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework, along with teachings that bridge secular techniques and spiritual practices for female adults. (20-30 persons); 2) Organise support groups, workshops, and community meeting and coffee events to foster connection between different communities and peoples and build resilience to loneliness. This will be held once a month for the next 12 months. Typically we would cater for 50 persons per session; 3) Provide subsidised specialised youth mental health course (10 week program) and social activities to help combat loneliness and create a supportive environment whilst empowering the youth to be independent and proud of themselves and their heritage. (20- 30 persons)
