Project description:

We have finally managed to find new premises for our Jak's Den Aberdeen to allow our families to come and feel supported on their childhood cancer journey and meet others to receive and give peer support alongside counselling music therapy and other emotional and social support activities. We would like to use this money to support the development of our emotional support activities within our new Den in Aberdeen for our children and families affected by childhood cancer and those bereaved. We have a number of families waiting on face to face and online support through our Bag of Worries and Seasons for Growth programmes, and are now in a position physically launch the Den.We would like to ensure our CYP & Family Coordinators and Support Workers are fully trained in Seasons for Growth and other trauma and bereavement courses through CBUK Cruse etc and that our Head CYP & Families receives full CPO training in addition to the basic course so we have a designated CPO in Aberdeen as well as at our HQ.
