We would like to organise two bus day trips to the countryside and afternoon teas so our residents can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Shire and socialise out with Mark Bush Court. Since the pandemic, many of our residents have lost their confidence in going out or are physically unable to leave their home without support and are very lonely and socially isolated. The pandemic definitely impacted our community dreadfully. We would also like to book some guest entertainers to come to provide some much-needed evening entertainment, such as singing, dancing or playing music alongside movie nights and bowling as we’re really keen to get as many of our residents involved in our social programme of events as laughter, fun and companionship is so important to support good mental health.
