Project description:

City members always enjoy the Network activities, meeting friends, networking, trying or learning new skills but most importantly feeling good, benefitting from fresh air, the countryside and generally improving their health & wellbeing and having fun. Funding will help us to focus on issues identified in 2022 post COVID as well as continuing with our indoor and outdoor events and activities. We will also offer appropriate training sessions (First Aid, Navigation, Keeping Safe outdoors), and hold a Conference "When we Walk, we Talk" in the Autumn. Funding will help members by reducing loneliness and social isolation particularly those living alone, having had a bereavement or change in family circumstances, improving feeling of wellbeing, keeping healthy & active and also help "prevention of ill health. It will also help us to support groups to encourage new members and set up new groups where there are gaps in provision or where groups have folded.
