Year 3 Awardee

Pet and Companion (PEACE)

PEACE Expansion Aberdeen

About the project

The grant will cover some of the costs of expanding our level of support in the Aberdeen area. It will allow us to recruit, equip and train 3 additional volunteers and their dogs. These additional PEACE Teams will then be able to provide canine therapy (the comforting presence of a dog) along with pastoral care (caring, attentive listening) to even more people in the Aberdeen area. Insurance cover is essential for the safe delivery of our service too.

Type of initiative funded: Befriending

Key priority area: Suicide prevention

Funding awarded: £1131
