The Fittie Community Choir began in autumn 2021. It was created and is managed by Open Road in partnership with the Fittie Community Development Trust (FCDT) and funded to date through Creative Scotland’s Culture Collective initiative. Culture Collective is a Scottish Government pilot scheme to place culture and community arts at the centre of post-pandemic recovery. The Fittie Community Choir is a part of our Culture Collective project, Safe Harbour; Open Sea, which as it stands concludes at the end of June. We are seeking funding to continue the Choir and expand in our sister harbourside community of Torry. This application is for financial support to achieve three aims, to continue the Fittie Community Choir until the end of 2022, to expand activity to Torry and to establish a sustainable model for post 2022.
