Project description:

We propose to hold within the AMIC Community Centre at Frederick Street sessions to combat loneliness and social isolation. We will hold coffee, meet and greets, lunch sessions on different days biweekly - predominantly weekday Monday to Thursday. Sessions to promote development of friendship and links to others based in Aberdeen. Activities and team building to assist in forging these relationships. Users will also be able to express any concerns or queries they may have in their lives with open sessions for sharing life experiences. The proposed activities will ensure that segments of the community that do not usually get funding or are shy to reach out can utilise this opportunity to venture out and socialise, make new connection and integrate into an active daily life.
