Our community (Northfield/Mastrick) has a high proportion of vulnerable community members that have been adversely affected by each of the lockdowns. The disproportionate level of anxiety and depression has increased with the rise in Covid case numbers, with close friends and family members and themselves being infected. Physical distancing requirements has resulted in a rise in isolation and loneliness exacerbating issues related to mental health and wellbeing. The funding will enable us to employ a Mental Health recovery worker, using the established and successful MindU template, an Outdoor and ecotherapy worker, a Baby Massage tutor, transport, training, and volunteer expenses.
