Our project aims to expand the work of our existing Health and Diversity Network, with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing. The concept of the network is to recruit health champions from diverse ethnic minority communities, focusing on those communities that are hard to reach, have had a lower uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine and those that participate less in health and social care engagement opportunities to co-design local services. Community connectors (sessional workers) from these communities will act as the focal point to motivate people to join and participate in the network of health champions, promoting key health messages from NHS Grampian and Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership, and opportunities to participate in the co-design of health services among their communities.
