Key priority area: Social isolation and loneliness
Funding awarded: £2000
The funding would provide the subsidy to run local meetings for groups to share experiences plus two larger events which have been very popular in the past - The Spring Fling in April and the Ramblers’ Rendezvous in the summer. The Group will also be able to produce three AGEnda Newsletters in 2022, which will be distributed to all our members. Both the events offer members/groups, whether fit or not so fit, the opportunity to come together to enjoy a day of activities both indoor and outdoor, networking, enjoying learning about the heritage and walks, crafts, exercise, dance etc. Everyone benefits from the activities, the chat, the networking, company and fun encouraging some to become more involved again and more active as well as improving their health and wellbeing and tackling loneliness and isolation in their own groups.
