Starting a family is a milestone in many people's lives. It can also be a stressful time and many parents experience mental ill health; mental ill health of parents can have a negative impact on the development of their children. The Community Connector supporting young mums, has been an enormous success within our community. In a short period of time, we have seen a great increase in our young parents attending the centre with the Community Connector supporting them to reduce isolation and build up a local network for parents. To-date we have four hundred on our database that we communicate in a regular basis. With the continued funding this role will develop an improve on our programme of affordable activities that will make this post sustainable by the end of the funding.
