Project description:

Our project was born out of a desire to bring about meaningful change in our communities by seeking to tackle the effects of poor mental health and wellbeing due to loneliness and isolation through 1-to-1 and group befriending activities. We have found having a package of supports, including our financial resilience project and food bank service has strengthened the support available in addressing issues of poverty and inequality which heightens anxieties to those who are already struggling with their mental health and wellbeing, and who have been referred. This grant would act as match-funding with the National Lottery, to enable us to continue employing our team to run our befriending services.
