Project description:

The aim of the project is to implement a boogie in the bar in the central area of Aberdeen on George Street once a month. Location Dee Swim Club, as they have expressed an interest in hosting this with no cost to hire the venue. The DJ is a volunteer who currently runs the Kincorth Boogie. Volunteers will be used from Aberdeen FC Community Trust and SHMU to help host the events. This activity will provide a warm space for individuals within the community, local sheltered housing, and care homes to attend. Where they would receive a warm drink and food as well as the chance to listen to some music and have a dance. This will help reduce social isolation, increase mental health and wellbeing. Provide heat and nutritional food, as well as exercise if they decide to dance!
