Project description:

Aberdeen SANDS offers support from other bereaved parents who are volunteers and who have lost their babies with sharing of stories and emotions when their whole world has just fallen apart, and they can't see a way through. We require the funding to help us support bereaved families in our area throughout the city no matter age, social status, financial status we support anyone who re aches out and ask for help. Our support is ongoing and shall go on indefinitely however just now since covid times have been difficult raising funds and donations from funerals has also dried up so this would help us greatly to continue with our care and support. Normally we organise our own fundraising activities, but these have been impossible with government restrictions in place and people are wary about attending. The fund will enable us to pay for our Zoom subscription for zoom support meetings for 12 months, Counselling for those who need a bit more support working with SANDS, Sibling books for Rubislaw Ward, and Ink and paper for Rubislaw Ward printer to create lasting memories for parents of their precious baby to keep forever.
