Project description:

Aberdeen Atoms is an all-inclusive netball club that aims to promote fitness, friendship and good mental health for any adults who wish to join. We believe that sport should be accessible to anyone who wishes to participate regardless of current levels of fitness, social background, financial situation, job status or any other real or perceived barriers to participation. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the club was unable to carry out its usual fundraising activities (race and quiz nights) for over two years. We also have reluctantly had to increase the monthly membership fee twice this year to cover costs. Many members are now worrying how they can pay the monthly fees due to the cost-of-living crisis. We are requesting monies to cover the cost of venue hire for 14 weeks (until the end of March 2023) and to purchase 36 netballs, which would replace our current ones which have unfortunately over time become worn (threads pocking out and lumps forming).
