Project description:

We currently have a weekly social group on a Monday afternoon held within our office space which was has became a life line to those who attended constantly in person or via zoom and after the pandemic restrictions eased so we returned to face/face in person which went some way to help tackle the increased isolation and loneliness suffered by people with disabilities as a result of shielding and pandemic restrictions and fear. This project will: Help boost social skills and interaction between service providers and service users; Provide our attendee's the opportunity to get together, socialise and laugh and learn resulting in a positive impact on mental health and social isolation and loneliness; Teach them new skills and maybe new techniques to improve their physical and mental health and; Have a positive impact on the attendees and service users.
