The Housing Support Adviser was created in October 2020 in response to COVID to provide advice on current housing applications and support when clients were feeling lonely, excluded, or stressed about their housing situation. Prior to COVID, advisors visited clients in their home and discharge patients in hospitals to determine their housing needs. Now advisors’ telephone, Zoom and Facetime. The Friendly Ear Project enhances services provided by health and social care by acting as a catalyst linking the client through partnership working with our colleagues in hospitals, care homes and GP practices. our existing services by taking time to speak to clients about their current position.
