The funding would be primarily used to enable us to provide / produce the following: A) Newsletters, photographs, posters, games, memory boxes for lending library of artefacts. This would us enable us to promote the group and be able to share all the material we have acquired with other complexes, on a loan basis. We would also be able to replenish our store of artefacts as discussed with attendees. We would be able to have a pictorial record of the activities and prompters for the group and their families. This would enable us to share our experiences and the knowledge with others. B) Projector and films for the group and take on visits to other complexes to evoke memories and to share with others. We have found during conversation that there is an interest in old films. C) Bus hire for outings. outings give everyone a great experience, and maybe the only opportunity to get out. D) Catering for outings/ entry fees. Afternoon tea / High Tea is always the perfect ending to a lovely day. Visiting places can bring back memories or make new memories that are shared and talked about long after the event. E) Catering for special occasions eg Coronation, Christmas. These occasions are always looked forward to and are enjoyed by all. We have always strived to celebrate these events. We would also like to encourage folk to help us to make decorations to prepare for these events.
