SensationALL turns up the heat on fundraising

Northeast charity, SensationALL, are looking for people to sign up and take on a Firewalk challenge to raise much-needed funds to support the charity’s significant increase demand for services in recent months.

It is calling on those people with the inner courage to walk barefoot across glowing embers in an exhilarating and motivational night of fundraising. Working in conjunction with Firewalk Scotland, this event is set to turn up the heat on the charity’s fundraising efforts.

Charity CEO, Katie McNutt, is excited about the event and acknowledges it is coming at a time when funding is especially crucial to the charity:

“Now more than ever we need people to take on fundraising challenges for us as the demand for our services is higher than ever. The money generated from the Firewalk will go directly towards the cost of running vital groups and support services for families in the northeast living with neurodivergent conditions”

The charity currently has the names of over 100 youngsters on its waiting lists for places in groups and is being approached by families every week looking for help. The social groups and sensory play sessions provide fun, social opportunities for those with complex needs or neurodivergent conditions such as Autism, who struggle to make friends and interact in mainstream settings. Meanwhile, the advisory consultations and support groups have a huge impact on parents and carers who feel better able to care for their loved-one as a result. However, the charity is working at capacity and urgently needs to raise more money so it can be there to support the new families.

Entry for the event is £20 and the charity is asking participants to fundraise £100 for SensationALL. In return, participants will be supported with setting up a donation page and you’ll get your own SensationALL t-shirt. On the night itself, Firewalkers will get expert training during a motivational workshop so they are ready to put ‘mind over matter.’

SensationALL’s Firewalk is on Saturday 23rd November from 6.30pm at The Old Schoolhouse, Westhill. Spectators are welcome to watch while enjoying refreshments and games.  Register for the event by emailing events@sensationall.org.uk

They engage directly with over 500 different individuals every year, making a positive impact on the lives of those living with lifelong conditions such as Autism and ADHD.
