Deadline Approaching for Groups in Torry and Cove to Apply for the Community & Coast Fund

Organisations in Torry and Cove have just two weeks left to apply for the Community & Coast Fund, with the deadline set for Monday,November 4th, 2024, at 12:00 PM.

With £100,000 available, local community groups and third sector organisations are encouraged to submit their project ideas to secure grants of up to £3,000 or £10,000 for capital projects that aim to benefit the community.

The ACVO TSI team, which manages the fund on behalf of ETZLtd, has been actively engaging with groups across the Torry and Cove areas over the past month. These discussions have been inspiring, with many organisations presenting innovative ideas to support community growth, biodiversity, and wellness, while also focusing on key priorities like jobs and skills, net-zero targets, and preserving local heritage.

Sarah Irvine, Development Officer at ACVO TSI, has been instrumental in these conversations and is available to provide further guidance in the final two weeks before applications close.

“We’ve had the pleasure of hearing some truly creative and impactful ideas so far,” Sarah said. “For those who haven’t applied yet, it’s not too late. I’m here to offer advice and support as we approach the deadline and would encourage anyone with a potential project to get in touch.”

The Fund’s approach includes a public vote, allowing over16,000 residents of Torry and Cove to decide which projects will receive funding, ensuring that decisions reflect the priorities of the local community.

Applications are open to third-sector organisations and unconstituted community groups based in or operating within Torry and Cove.Interested groups can still apply via the website at communityandcoast.scot/apply
