As part of this years’ Climate Week North East (15th – 24th March), CFINE delivered an interactive community cooking event with a clear focus on zero food waste. The Zero Waste Cooking Day, hosted in partnership with Granite City Good Food, saw eager cooks of all abilities set foot in CFINE’s Cook in the ‘Nook kitchen on Wednesday 20th March to test their skills on pickling, pancake-baking and soup-making – all with minimising food waste in mind.
