About this fund

The Stafford Trust is a grant making Scottish charitable trust which provides financial support to charities registered in the United Kingdom, with a preference towards charitable organisations in Scotland.

It funds charities under the headings of :

  • animal welfare
  • child/adult welfare
  • medical research
  • local community projects
  • HM services personnel
  • sea rescue
  • overseas appeals

Who can apply

Charities registered in the United Kingdom, with preference being given to charitable organisations operating in Scotland particularly those involved with animal welfare, seafarers, and services benevolent organisations.

When to apply

The Trustees usually meet twice per annum, in Spring and Autumn, to consider applications.

The window for applications for the Spring 2025 meeting will close on 31st December 2024.
