Community Project Funding
About this fund
The Community Grants programme is administered Music for All, which is the charity of the UK musical instrument industry. The mission of the charity ‘is to make more musicians and to enable and inspire more people to discover the mental and physical benefits that playing a musical instrument can bring’.
Music for All is a partner of the Power of Music fund which promotes music as a social prescription for people living with dementia and their carers. Small grants are awarded to local organisations using music making to support people living with dementia and their carers. Priority is given to applications from underrepresented communities, including from the Global Majority.
Objectives of Fund
The grants programme aims to give a helping hand to projects and initiatives across the UK that are seeking to bring music to their communities. The funding is for groups that need assistance to fulfil their potential in developing truly sustainable music programmes.
Value Notes
Grants are at the discretion of the funders and values vary from round to round.
Match Funding Restrictions
The charity is unlikely to be able to meet applications in full, so applicants are strongly advised to also apply to other bodies for assistance.
