At The Period Place, we work to ensure that no one is held back because they cannot access period products. Through product distribution, awareness campaigns, and education initiatives, we support individuals and families who are struggling to afford essential menstrual care while also helping to break the stigma that still surrounds periods.
This May in support of Menstrual Hygiene Day we are running a school fundraising competition called “Step Up For Her” alongside our annual Walk to Give Her a Voice sponsored walk. Schools across the region will be taking part in a dance challenge to raise funds and awareness for period poverty. The initiative encourages young people to support an important cause while promoting teamwork, wellbeing, and community spirit.
“Step Up For Her” takes place on 28th May, final date to register is 2nd May. Full details can be found at: walk4her.theperiodplace.co.uk/schools
