The Breadmaker Social Inclusion Project
About the project
The aim is to create a social inclusion project for all of our apprentices who work at The Breadmaker. This will allow us to plan an annual social calendar and execute monthly (minimum) social activities with our apprentices. Activities such as - Lochter, walking tour, bowling, keep fit, theatre, AFC tour, etc. Being able to access social experiences and activities outwith work will not only have an impact on work performance, allow our apprentices to feel more connected to the local community and provide families/carers with respite, but it will help to nourish the lives of our apprentices, help them to have the confidence to try new things, give them life & social experiences with their peers and enrich and give balance to their lives outwith the working environment.
Type of initiative funded: Group Activity
Key priority area: Social isolation and loneliness
Funding awarded: £7957
