Project description:

We have found that those who come to Open House often do not cook for themselves at home. Many are also unable to keep themselves warm at home. Coming to Open House gives meaning and purpose to their days. Extending the scope of Open House to include the provision of food will enable us to respond to these needs and to address the following priorities of the CMHW Fund: It will enable us to support adults with long-term health conditions or disabilities by giving them access to good food, and by helping them to develop skills to improve their own nutrition when cooking at home. It will enable us to work with adults who have diagnosed mental illness, helping them to eat well, to eat in the company of others, and to share in cooking in the company of others.
