The grant we are seeking would greatly support us in delivering a diverse range of activities and initiatives aimed at benefiting our community. These activities encompass regular events, including "Expressive North East," a creative and arts group, "Splatter," an open mic spoken word event, "Out 4 ME," a group focused on ethnic and minority communities, and "Check Mates," a gaming community group. In addition to these group activities, our one-to-one support involves essential services like signposting and third-party reporting. This grant would enable us to continue and expand these crucial programs, enhancing the support and resources available to our community members. Our new workshops will cover a wide array of important topics such as HIV awareness, community building, addressing trans-dementia, sexual health education, and combating isolation. We also provide related activities like mental health support sessions, career development workshops, and mentorship programs to empower our community members. Furthermore, we have plans to organise external events and stands featuring guest speakers to expand our outreach efforts and raise awareness in the broader community.
