Women Carers & Menopause

Women Carers & Menopause

Supportive workshops for women carers navigating menopause, blending gentle movement, embodied self-care and seasonal wellbeing practices to build resilience, wellbeing and emotional balance.

Women carers often spend so much time supporting others that their own wellbeing is pushed aside — especially during menopause, when physical, emotional and hormonal changes can feel overwhelming. These workshops are designed to offer a compassionate, restorative space where women can pause, reconnect with themselves and receive support within a welcoming community of shared experience.

Blending somatic movement, mindfulness, breath work and nature-based practices, the workshops explore how menopause and caring responsibilities affect the body, mind and emotions. Participants are gently guided to notice patterns of stress, tension and exhaustion while discovering practical tools that encourage resilience, body-systems awareness and deeper self-care. Through grounding exercises, reflective practices and creative exploration, women are supported to reconnect with their bodies in ways that feel safe, nurturing and empowering.

The workshops recognise that menopause is not simply a medical transition but also a significant life stage that can influence identity, relationships, energy levels and emotional wellbeing. For carers, these changes are often intensified by the demands of supporting loved ones, balancing responsibilities and managing limited time for rest. The sessions therefore focus on restoring balance, creating moments of calm and helping participants develop sustainable practices they can carry into everyday life.

Nature connection forms an important part of the experience. Seasonal awareness and eco-somatic approaches encourage participants to slow down, regulate the nervous system and to find support. By engaging with movement, breath and sensory awareness in relation to the surrounding landscapes of presence, women are invited to rediscover a sense of grounding, vitality and belonging.

Each workshop is inclusive, accessible and gently paced, with no previous experience required. Activities are adaptable for different abilities and energy levels, ensuring that participants can engage in ways that honour their individual needs. The emphasis is not on performance or fitness, but on listening to the body, cultivating self-compassion and creating space for rest, reflection and connection.
