Denis Law Legacy Trust (DLLT) has officially opened a new youth hub in Torry on Friday 4th September, creating another welcoming and inclusive space for local young people to come together, build friendships and have access positive opportunities.
The hub has been named in memory of much-loved Torry youngster Kacey Seivwright, who sadly passed away in 2021, ensuring her legacy lives on by bringing young people together in a safe and welcoming space.
Located next to Cruyff Court Neale Cooper, “Kacey’s Legacy Youth Hub” will provide free activities, sport and creative activities for young people, further strengthening the support and provision available within the community.
The hub has been developed by DLLT as part of its ongoing commitment to creating safe spaces where young people can connect, develop new skills and reach their full potential.
Kacey’s older sister, Kelsey Seivwright, officially opened the hub by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.
“Carrying on Kacey’s legacy by naming this incredibly facility after her is an honour for myself, Mum, Dad and our whole family,” Kelsey said.
“I’m so proud that it is officially open and will be used by young people from across the area, and I’m even more proud that it’s going to be named after my little sister.”
Kelsey’s journey with the Denis Law Legacy Trust reflects the impact youth opportunities can have on young people. Having attended DLLT Streetsport sessions from the age of eight, she became a volunteer at 14 before progressing into a coaching role. Now aged 20, Kelsey works full-time with the trust as a Streetsport Operations Assistant, helping to create opportunities for the next generation of young people across the city.

The opening of Kacey’s Legacy Youth Hub marks another important milestone in the Denis Law Legacy Trust’s work to support and empower young people throughout Aberdeen.
