Take a look at one of our latest films with Ten Feet Tall Theatre’s Encore group. Supported by the Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund, this programme brings together those who are 60+ years old with a love of theatre. Hear from Cameron Mowat and participants of the group about how the programme builds confidence, reduces social isolation and creates a sense of community on page 22.
This month, we are also excited to share our film showcasing the MISS Forget Me Not Garden. With thanks to the Just Transition PB Fund, Abi Clarke discusses the importance of the garden for those who have suffered from miscarriage or early pregnancy loss by providing a safe, tranquil space to reflect and heal. Read the full feature and watch the film from page 26.
Last month, the ACVO team were delighted to welcome the Scottish Government to see first-hand the incredible impact of the Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund. Chosen to showcase their project, Citymoves highlighted their Dance for Parkinson’s programme. ACVO look forward to see the continuing positive impact of the Fund, with Year 4 successful projects to be announced early 2025.
We will be back in the new year with another jam-packed edition of ACVO News in early February, we hope you have a lovely festive break!
