Aberdeen Science Centre

Aberdeen Science Centre is one of Aberdeen’s top visitor attractions and offers the perfect day out for the whole family

Discover a world of exploration, excitement and wonder at Aberdeen Science Centre. Now re-opened after a remarkable £6million transformation, enjoy more than 60 amazing interactive exhibits, set across six innovative and awe-inspiring zones.

Meet ‘RoboThespian’, our friendly and knowledgeable robot, immerse yourself in The OPITO Theatre of Energy and play your part in our sensational live experiments and demonstrations.

The centre is open Monday – Sunday, from 10am – 4.30pm and tickets must be pre-booked in advance (this includes STEM Passport holders).  You can purchase tickets for either the morning (10am – 1pm) or afternoon (1pm – 4pm) and will have a three-hour slot available – this is plenty of time to explore the centre.

Aberdeen Science Centre is an educational charity, established in 1988, that works to give back to our region by increasing access to science for people from all age groups and backgrounds.

Since reopening our doors in 2020, the charity has been awarded 5-Star status form Visit Scotland and also gained the Travellers’ choice Award from TripAdvisor.

Science never stands still, and it is vital that Aberdeen Science Centre adapts and grows, continuing to create accessible experiences to our visitors, schools and community, including those community groups, charities and organisations who do not normally engage with science.

Our charity relies on the support from visitors, the local community and corporate partnerships to continue to inspire lifelong interests in science.
