About this fund
What We Fund
We fund community-led organisations creating lasting change for women and girls.
Our grants support work that:
- Builds confidence, leadership and participation
- Tackles poverty and economic inequality
- Prevents violence and creates safer spaces
- Reduces isolation and strengthens community connection
- Opens pathways to education, employment and influence
We prioritise smaller organisations often overlooked by larger funders — particularly those without dedicated fundraising teams.
If your work is designed by and for women and girls, and makes a clear difference in their lives, we want to hear from you.
To be competitive, your organisation must:
- Deliver services or programmes specifically for women and/or girls
- Demonstrate clear local need within a Scottish community
- Be community-led or grassroots in scale
- Show how funding will directly benefit women and girls
We do not fund general community projects where women and girls are not the main beneficiaries.
Are You Eligible to Apply?
Before starting an application, please confirm that your organisation:
- Is based and delivering work in Scotland
- Has women and/or girls as its primary beneficiaries
- Is a constituted group, charity, CIC or eligible not-for-profit organisation
- Has an organisational bank account
- Meets safeguarding and governance standards
We Cannot Fund:
- Individuals
- Organisations based outside Scotland
- Projects where women and girls are not the main focus
- Statutory bodies or public sector services
- Capital-only projects or retrospective funding
If your organisation does not meet these criteria, we encourage you not to apply.
