About this fund

Local Support GrantsĀ are for community-based Third Sector organisations in Scotland, which deliver frontline services to support people affected by alcohol and drugs, people who are in recovery and/or their families.

Local Support Grants are open to Scottish charities, social enterprises, community groups and other Third Sector organisations, with an annual income of up to £750,000. Organisations can apply for up to £60,000 per year, for work up to April 2029.

This fund is intended to help organisations to stabilise or increase capacity, continue services and provide further reach into the community. It aims to facilitate rights-based, relational support for people so that they can easily access the right support at the right time.

Funding rounds will be conducted on a rolling basis. Applications for projects delivering work up to April 2029 are welcomed.

Decision-making panels will meet in July, September, and November 2026 and every two months thereafter.

We expect applicants to be notified of decisions within two months of applying.
