Therapeutic Dance Art with the elderly will benefit the older women and men who at old age are unable to attend concerts, movies and more. Afristyle dance club will bring dance art to the care home. This initiative started prior to Covid-19 pandemic which brought it to halt and other barriers like frailty, severe cognitive impairment, and funding. Afristyle will work in partnership with Careuk and other care homes to achieve this. The dance for the elderly is made from infused music with a strong rhythmical beat that invigorates and relaxes the mind. It will be danced by our performing artists. The service users will be entertained and could dance or sing along. These music is proven to be responsible for release of happiness hormone - serotonin. Which will help the elderly to have good sleep and harness their inner strength.
