Project description:

Snug provides a unique, creative drop-in environment within a city centre multi-art space. A warm, welcoming cost-free space, it offers hot beverages and snacks, free access to a wide variety of art materials, resources & activities with free artist-led workshops running from time to time. Free WiFi is also available with desktop printing on request. Creative attendants are on hand to welcome and chat, providing one-to-one assistance and encouragement if needed. The workshop programme focuses on a diverse range of artistic practises and making, often incorporating elements of visual and written self expression for wellbeing. These proved very popular and we aim to expand upon this to deliver collaborative projects which span a number of weeks. The grant enables us, not only to provide the materials and weekly sundries needed for running the space itself, but to adequately staff the project with an experienced team, and deliver the workshops.
