About the project

Weekly Running and Feldenkrais sessions at HMP Grampian followed by reflective conversation, engaging prisoners in a person-centred approach to enable them to self-manage their health and wellbeing. Regular meetings and workshops building community of support outside the prison in collaboration with partner organisations (ACE Voices, CFine, Families Outside). These activities are designed to meet the aims of the HMPG Recovery, Health/Well-Being Strategy and will enable participants to improve mental health by belonging to a safe/non-judgmental group environment/community, improving mood/sleep/brain functioning through physical exercise, increasing self-esteem by providing higher enjoyment and sense of achievement and participating in practices enabling reframing traumatic experiences.
