The project provides specialist, free, and confidential emotional support to survivors of all forms of gender-based violence who are over the age of 25. Survivors accessing the service are initially offered a block of 30 support sessions with a trained support practitioner. These practitioners assist survivors in navigating their healing journey from the trauma they have endured. The impact of sexual violence and associated trauma often results in survivors presenting with complex mental health needs, including PTSD, Dissociation, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Through this comprehensive support, the project aims to address the long-term effects of abuse and help survivors move towards recovery and resilience.
