We would like to offer four free exercise classes per week (Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, HIIT & chair based exercise) to members of our community as many have expressed that cost is a huge barrier to exercise participation. Many have expressed that their mental health has declined due to the cost of living increase meaning they can no longer afford to come to exercise classes. The overall aim of our youth work (16+) project is to provide an initiative for young people who are struggling with social isolation/mental health by providing them with a safe space to socialise and develop new skills. We believe that the youth group will provide the setting for young people to socialise, develop new skills, develop stronger ties to their local area, and improve their mental health and wellbeing by creating a sense of belonging.
