We have collaborated with AAGM (Aberdeen Archives and Art Gallery) to deliver a unique session which responds to the needs of the individuals. AAGM staff sign post participants to AAGM opportunities when they are ready, encouraging an introduction into mainstream activities and thereby increasing confidence incrementally. The fundamental aim of Artroom@AAGM is to support people’s wellbeing, reducing loneliness and isolation through personal creativity in a safe shared environment helping to pave the way to a new normality. Participant’s make their own choices and are in control of their own creativity. Artroom@AAGM offers people a secluded place which is based in a public venue where they can enjoy positive relationships, feel socially connected and less isolated. Artroom@ AAGM is delivered by two specially trained artists who assist people on their own creative journey. We have a team of bank artists to support the session if the artists are on annual leave or unable to work. This is essential order to ensure continuity of delivery, important for people who can find venturing out a major undertaking.
