Clan Cancer Support is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Trusts & Grants Writer to join our Income Generation team and help us raise the vital funds needed to support local people impacted by cancer.

Working closely with the Head of Income Generation, you’ll play a key role in securing income from charitable trusts and foundations. You’ll manage the full grant lifecycle – from researching new funding opportunities and writing compelling applications, through to reporting on outcomes and developing strong, lasting relationships with funders.

You’ll also support the management of Clan’s legacy income stream, working alongside the Finance team and liaising with solicitors and executors to ensure accurate records and excellent stewardship.

About you

We’re looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll be organised, proactive and confident working collaboratively across departments to gather the information and evidence needed to create successful funding applications.

Experience of trusts and grants fundraising, bid writing or income generation is highly desirable, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

What you’ll be doing

• Researching and identifying new funding opportunities.
• Writing high-quality funding applications and impact reports.
• Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective funders.
• Managing accurate records of applications, correspondence and funding.
• Supporting Clan’s legacy income administration and working with solicitors and executors.
• Working collaboratively across the organisation to develop compelling funding cases.
• Supporting the wider Income Generation team to achieve its fundraising targets.
