Asthma and Allergy Foundation Launches Christmas Campaign “Give the Gift of Breath” to Support Families Living With Asthma and Severe Allergies

Reading time: < 1 minute

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation, Scotland’s only dedicated asthma charity, today launches its 2025 Christmas Fundraising Campaign: “Give the Gift of Breath This Christmas.”

The appeal aims to raise at least £10,000 to ensure the charity can continue providing lifesaving support to children, young people, adults and families living with asthma and severe allergies.

Throughout 2025, the charity has worked tirelessly to stay afloat during an exceptionally challenging year for small charities. Thanks to the dedication of its trustees, ambassadors, staff, volunteers, sponsors and partners, the Foundation has been able to keep its doors open and delivered vital services to the 23,645 who rely on it most.

“As the health system becomes increasingly overstretched during the festive season, our role becomes even more critical,” said Martina Chukwuma-Ezike, Chief Executive of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation. “Families battling uncontrolled asthma and severe allergies need expert support to prevent another terrifying asthma attack or severe allergic reaction, and we must be here for them.”

Funds raised from the Christmas campaign will help ensure the charity can:

  • Provide urgent, one-to-one support for adults and young people battling asthma
  • Support families struggling with childhood asthma
  • Deliver lifesaving asthma education and management sessions
  • Keep helplines and emergency support available throughout the festive season
  • Equip staff and volunteers with essential resources to respond quickly and effectively

“Every donation, no matter the size, helps someone breathe easier, and when you help someone breathe, you help them live.”
