About the project
The project uses sporting and social memorabilia in a range of formats and environments to support people affected by dementia, social isolation, loneliness and other conditions by stimulating discussion and encouraging group participation and social interaction. The mental health benefits delivered by our activities are significant and proven over many years. The programme helps develop a sense of wellbeing, welcoming those facing medical and social challenges into environments which improve their self-confidence by mixing and sharing stories with others. Positive behavioural changes are observed well beyond the period of activities. Our project sets the standard for best practice throughout Scotland.
