Lewis Court Mental Health, wellbeing and dementia project
About the project
The project aims to bring the tenants of Lewis Court together in a welcoming and engaging environment, where diverse interests can be shared. Many residents have passions in the arts and other areas, and this initiative will provide smaller groups with opportunities to participate in activities that align with their interests—whether it be musicals, drama, or other creative pursuits. By fostering social interaction and integration, this project helps to combat isolation and depression within our community. Additionally, being a dementia pilot scheme, it highlights the importance of musical engagement, a valuable tool in supporting those affected by the condition.
Type of initiative funded: Social
Key priority area: Social isolation and loneliness
