Older People Programme in Dyce
About the project
For developing programmes across the community with reps of groups of Older People, organised and run by volunteers, offering a Training/"Getting Together Day" in Spring and for a "Have a Go Week" in September. The latter is based on the early days of our older people's work as a method of offering taster sessions, many of which became established in the programme to suit the interests of the people. Covid has affected our programme and this week will hopefully bring back or attract new people. Supporting the only Men's Shed which is part of our association programme, benefitting from the centre facilities instead of the burden of running a building. Bringing together the professionals with responsibility for older people who work in Dyce Community to meet with some volunteers and find out what goes on in the community.
