About the project
The project aim is to transform the annexe connected to our community centre into a warm and welcoming community art space. We would use the funds to purchase art equipment/crafting materials, furniture to store our materials, workspaces (desks/chairs etc) and boards to display our resident’s work. We will be fostering an intergenerational approach by working in partnership with students from Gray’s School of Art (Robert Gordon University) who will help us to develop the space, lead art projects, and inspire our community. Our hope in developing an art space for the community is that community residents will take ownership of the space and develop it in a way that meets their needs. Although community residents will choose their own creative activities, we will provide the materials for creative projects (e.g., drawing, painting, crafting, photography).
