Grampian Regional Equality Council (GREC)
GREC are a registered charity based in Aberdeen, taking a leading role in advancing equality across North East Scotland – including Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray.
We work to tackle prejudice and discrimination, celebrate diversity, build positive community relations, and provide evidence to change policy and practice.
Our services include support and advice for individuals and communities; translation and interpreting; counselling for adults and young people; language cafés and English classes; financial inclusion work; information campaigns; research; and celebrating the work of young people to promote equality in their schools and communities. We also provide training and consultancy for organisations, and take part in public and third sector partnerships.
We provide tailored training sessions and workshops on equality and diversity themes, as well as specific courses on: Introduction to Equalities; Unconscious Bias; Intersectionality; and Working Effectively with Interpreters.
Our consultancy model is about developing a partnership with organisations, helping them identify why equality is important to their work, and facilitating discussions and helping plan a way forward.
