Come join the Sport Aberdeen team! Following the award of additional funding, Sport Aberdeen are looking to grow our community cycling team and programme.

We’re expanding our community cycling programme and looking for a Project Activator (Cycling) to help grow cycling opportunities across Aberdeen. In this role, you’ll develop local partnerships, plan and deliver inclusive cycling programmes – especially for children and young people in priority areas – and support initiatives like Rock Up and Ride. You’ll also help promote cycling, build a network of volunteers, and drive positive change in communities. If you’re passionate about cycling and making a difference, we want to hear from you!

In the role of Project Activator (Cycling), your main purpose is to develop and grow community cycling through the following;-

• Develop relationships with the local cycling community; maintaining, developing and co-ordinating stakeholders and communities across Aberdeen City.
• Plan, co-ordinate and co-deliver a strategic place-based approach to cycling delivery across Aberdeen City; ensuring a particular focus on children and young people in priority neighbourhoods.
• Tackle inequalities through the programming and delivery of community programmes within SIMD areas of Aberdeen City; ensuring the delivery of an integrated pathway of cycling opportunities for the city.
• Support and collaborate with the Rock Up and Ride programme of activity.
• Monitor and report on the performance of partnership activation and behaviour change interventions.
• Market and promote cycling opportunities across Aberdeen City.
• Support, and build capacity, in the volunteer network of coaches and rider leaders.
