Purposes of the job:
- To create a stylish and pleasing retail environment to generate funds to support the work of the charity Home-Start Aberdeen.
Main Responsibilities:
- Arranging and labelling goods in the display shelves
- Assisting customers in finding the products they’re looking for
- Processing customer payments at the checkout point/till
- Accepting and sorting donated goods
- Preparing donated goods for sale
- Addressing customer complaints and inquiries
- Cleaning and rearranging the store
- Collaborating with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organised at all times
- Support and train shop volunteers to deliver an excellent level of customer service
- Embed Home-Start policies and procedures in practice at all times
General:
- Contributing to the effective day to day operation of the scheme in accordance with the Home-Start Memorandum & Articles of Association, Home-Start Standards & Methods of Practice, Home-Start Agreement and Quality Assurance Standards
- Maintaining equality of opportunity, fairness and diversity in all areas of work
