Information for the third sector
Policy & Consultations
Our Policy & Consultations Officer, Alasdair, works jointly with ACVO and Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action to interpret public sector policies and run consultations for the third sector.

About our Policy & Consultation Work
A major part of ACVO’s role is to give the third sector in Aberdeen a strong voice and to act as a source of knowledge for our communities of place and people.Â
Public sector policy has a huge influence on the work of the third sector. Our Policy & Consultations Officer works across a broad range of issues to understand the implications of new policies and regulations and to make sure our sector is informed. Â
It is increasingly important that the voice of the third sector is included in the setting of new policies and ideas at a local and national level.Â
Alasdair also works to provide opportunities for the third sector to contribute to consultations and enquiries and to ensure we have a seat at the table when decisions are being made that affect our work.
Policy & Consultations Updates
Alasdair Ross writes on all things policy related and looks closely at how decisions impact the third sector in Aberdeen in order to keep you informed and aware of ongoing changes and developments.
